- Prof. Ersöz was born in Akşehir.
- Attended Talas American College for middle school and Tarsus American College for high school.
- Completed his medical education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine.
- In 1987, became an assistant professor, in 1990, an associate professor, and in 1996, a full professor.
- Prof. Ersöz is a member of the Turkish Ophthalmology Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
